The PSAT is not only great practice for the SAT, it's also used as the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT) to select National Merit Scholarship and Letter of Commendation recipients each year.

The PSAT is only given in October and is traditionally not used for admissions decisions. Comprehensive knowledge of essential concepts, including all areas of mathematics, verbal reasoning skills, writing skills, high-frequency vocabulary list, and real PSAT practice exams are all part of the PSAT preparation courses at Westchester C.C.B.
